TraitWare Authentication simplifies and secures access to protected applications and web sites by employing the User’s Mobile Device as a “login token” or “authenticator”, eliminating dependence on the use of inconvenient and problematic usernames and passwords or separate hardware tokens. It improves the security by adding two-factor authentication to the login process.
The TraitWare system consists of two major components: 1) the TraitWare Mobile App; and 2) The TraitWare Authentication Server, which is hosted in a secure cloud.
TraitWare includes patent-pending technology called, “TraitWare ID” which “binds” the User’s identity to their Mobile Device. It also includes TouchID and a technology called “PhotoAuth”, an image-based unlock method, which prevents unauthorized users from accessing the TraitWare App so that only the registered User can use it as a login token. In other words, TraitWare allows the User’s Mobile Device to be used as a multi-factor authenticator where the two factors are 1) “something you have”, which is the device itself which contains user and device traits; and 2) "something you are" which is your fingerprint using TouchID or “something you know” which is your image-based PhotoAuth Sequence (which functions as a “visual PIN”). For even greater security, TraitWare also offers three-factor authentication, using a combination of TouchID and a PhotoAuth sequence.
The TraitWare app offers the option to purchase consumer subscriptions for the Secure Login for WordPress plugin. This is used to secure your WordPress dashboard with TraitWare.
We currently offer a 1-year duration auto-renewable consumer subscription for the WordPress login (WordPress - Starter). This is for protecting 1 WordPress site and allowing 2 TraitWare users the ability to login to that WordPress site using TraitWare. Payment will be charged to iTunes Account at confirmation of purchase. Subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current period. Subscriptions may be managed by the user and auto-renewal may be turned off by going to the users Account Settings after purchase. Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when the user purchases a subscription to that publication, where applicable.
